Adams opened the scoring after a precise pass from Lucien Agoume allowed him to calmly slot past goalkeeper Aaron Escandell.

He also provided two assists, setting up Djibril Sow and Batista Mendy to extend Sevilla’s advantage. Despite missing further chances, Adams remained central to the team’s dominance throughout the match.

Speaking after the game, Adams downplayed suggestions that it was his finest performance for the club. “I would not say that.

The best is yet to come. The most important thing is the three points, which we also deserved against Valencia,” he said. Reflecting on the collective effort, he added, “It has been a great match for me, for the team and for the fans. It has been a great day for everyone.”

Adams also confirmed his imminent departure for international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations, describing the call-up as an honour. “I have the privilege of being selected by Nigeria. It is an opportunity you cannot say no to,” he said.
