Sevilla forward Akor Adams has recorded the highest number of offside calls across Europe’s major leagues this season, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

The Nigerian international has been flagged offside 19 times in La Liga over 757 minutes across 13 appearances, seven of which were starts.

The tally places Adams ahead of Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe, who has been caught offside 16 times while leading the league with 16 goals in 16 matches.

Across Europe’s top divisions, only Moise Kean of Fiorentina has matched Adams’ total, registering 19 offsides in Serie A over 1,157 minutes from 13 starts.

In other leagues, the Bundesliga’s Deniz Undav has 11 offside calls, Premier League forward Evanilson has 12, and Ligue 1 striker Mohamed Kader Meite has six.

Despite his positional challenges, Adams remains a central figure in Sevilla’s attack, though his goal return has been modest, with two goals and one assist from 14 shots, five on target.

Adams last scored in early October during Sevilla’s 4–1 victory over Barcelona and has since gone seven matches without finding the net. He completed the full 90 minutes in Sevilla’s 1–1 draw with Valencia on Sunday.

At the international level, Adams’ consistency has earned him prominence with the Nigerian national team. He has scored twice in his first four caps and is included in coach Eric Chelle’s provisional squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

He is expected to make his final appearance for Sevilla this year when they host Oviedo before joining the Super Eagles for his first senior tournament.

Adams previously expressed disappointment at missing the 2026 World Cup following Nigeria’s defeat to DR Congo in the play-off final last November.

He made his senior debut in October during qualifiers against Lesotho and Benin, scoring as a substitute, and added Nigeria’s opening goal in the semi-final against Gabon.
