Akor Adams’ goal against Algeria has been named among the top five goals of AFCON 2025 following Nigeria’s 2-0 quarter-final win

Super Eagles striker Akor Adams’ superb strike against Algeria has been named among the top five goals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Adams scored Nigeria’s second goal in the 2-0 quarter-final victory over Vladimir Petković’s Desert Foxes.

The Sevilla forward was set up by Victor Osimhen, dribbled past goalkeeper Luca Zidane, and fired the ball into the net.

It was Adams’ second goal of the tournament, highlighting his key role as one of Nigeria’s top performers at the competition.

Other players whose goals made the top five include Morocco’s Ayoub El Kaabi, Cameroon striker Christian Kofane, Algeria’s Adil Boulbinan, and Senegal’s Pape Gueye.
