Aliyu Zubairu becomes head coach of Telecom Egypt SC, joining other Nigerian tacticians making their mark on foreign soil

Aliyu Zubairu has been appointed as the new head coach of Egyptian second-division side, Telecom Egypt SC, marking another major milestone for Nigerian football managers breaking barriers abroad.

Even Samson Siasia briefly ventured into India’s football landscape in 2012, when he was appointed head coach of Durgapur Vox Champions in the Bengal Premier League Soccer — a project that, though short-lived, reflected global confidence in Nigerian expertise.
