Declan Rice says Arsenal must be at their best to beat PSG in the Champions League final, calling it the biggest match in football

Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice has warned that the Gunners must deliver their best performance to defeat Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League final at the Puskás Aréna.

Arsenal and PSG are set to meet in the highly anticipated final on Saturday after both sides secured their places through tough semi-final victories over Atlético Madrid and Bayern Munich respectively.

Declan Rice stressed that Arsenal will need full concentration and intensity from the first whistle if they are to overcome the French champions.

Speaking to UEFA’s official website, Rice described Paris Saint-Germain as a strong and well-balanced side, recalling how tightly contested their previous encounters had been.

“You need to be on your A game to beat PSG. You need that fuel in your belly from the first whistle, that you are going to win this final,” Rice said.

The England international added that the final represents the highest level of club football, with both teams aware of the magnitude of the occasion.

“It’s the biggest competition in football. Champions League final, it gets no bigger than that,” he stated.
