Arsène Wenger backs Arsenal for the title claim sees former manager back Arsenal to win the Premier League despite recent defeats to Bournemouth and Manchester City

Arsène Wenger Arsenal title claim comes after Mikel Arteta’s side dropped crucial points in consecutive matches, losing 2–1 at home to Bournemouth before suffering another 2–1 defeat against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

Those results have left Arsenal vulnerable at the top of the table, with Manchester City now in position to overtake them if they defeat Burnley at Turf Moor on Wednesday.

Despite the setbacks, Arsène Wenger remains unwavering in his belief that Arsenal will end their long wait for a league title, which would mark their first Premier League triumph in 22 years.

“I believe that Arsenal will win the league. I deeply believe,” Arsène Wenger said on the Twinning Project. “It looks, to me, like commonsense.”

Wenger also praised Arsenal’s attacking intent, highlighting the contributions of key players in recent performances while maintaining that belief in the squad’s overall quality remains strong.

“I like Eze, Ødegaard, Havertz and Madueke attacking intent at the Etihad,” he said.

The former manager further suggested that Manchester City may not maintain a flawless run-in, a factor he believes could swing the title race back in Arsenal’s favour during the final stretch of the season.

“Manchester City will not make the perfect run-in,” he added.
