Wrexham AFC have congratulated goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo following his maiden invitation to the Super Eagles squad, marking a positive milestone in his international football career on 20 May 2026.

Arthur Okonkwo receives Super Eagles call-up comes after the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) approved his switch of international allegiance last month, paving the way for his inclusion in Nigeria’s national team setup.

Although the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is yet to officially release the full squad list for the upcoming Unity Cup tournament, Wrexham confirmed the development via a post on their official X account, celebrating the goalkeeper’s achievement.

The club described Okonkwo’s invitation as a proud moment, as the shot-stopper joins the Super Eagles ahead of the friendly invitational competition.

Super Eagles head coach Éric Chelle is expected to release the official squad list in the coming days as preparations intensify for the tournament.
