Audifax Onuoha ICAN Chairman of Fidelity Bank Chapter pledges reforms, skills development, and synergy with the bank to drive professional growth

Audifax Onuoha ICAN Chairman of the Fidelity Bank Chapter has officially assumed office following his investiture at the 4th Investiture and Patron Conferment Ceremony in Lagos.

The event, held at Fidelity Bank’s Head Office, saw Onuoha—currently Group Head, Compliance Risk Management at the bank—take over leadership from Mr. Victor Abejegah, the outgoing Chairman and the bank’s Chief Financial Officer.

In his acceptance remarks, Audifax Onuoha, a seasoned Chartered Accountant and compliance expert, pledged to prioritize continuous learning and technical growth for ICAN members across the bank.

“We will invest in skill development to ensure our members stay ahead in today’s fast-evolving financial environment,” Onuoha said.

He also committed to strengthening the collaboration between ICAN and Fidelity Bank, saying the partnership would underpin a more resilient financial services sector.

“We aim to attract more Chartered Accountants into the fold, enriching the bank’s intellectual capital,” he added.

Mr. Jude Monye, Regional Bank Head – Ikeja at Fidelity Bank and Chairman of the Occasion, charged the new executive to focus on professional capacity building.

“Let your tenure be marked by empowering programmes that build leadership and resilience,” Monye advised.

He also commended the bank’s leadership, especially Managing Director/CEO Dr. Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe, for championing professional excellence within the organization.

In his valedictory speech, outgoing Chairman Mr. Abejegah cited milestones achieved during his term, including entrepreneurship workshops in fish and snail farming, and expanded welfare support for members.

A special moment at the event was the conferment of the Chapter Patron award on Mr. Stanley Amuchie, Fidelity Bank’s Executive Director/Chief Operations and Information Officer, for over 25 years of exemplary service in the financial sector.

“This honour is a call to serve—as a mentor and advocate for professional excellence,” Amuchie stated.

The investiture concluded with the swearing-in of the new executive committee by ICAN’s 61st President, Mallam Haruna Yahaya, ushering in a new era of leadership for the Chapter.
