Fidelity Bank unveils HerFidelity Apprenticeship Programme 2.0, empowering women with skills, mentorship, and business support for sustainable entrepreneurship

Fidelity Bank Plc has announced the launch of the second edition of its flagship women‑empowerment initiative, the HerFidelity Apprenticeship Programme 2.0 (HAP 2.0), designed to equip women with practical income‑generating skills and structured pathways to entrepreneurship.

The bank said HAP 2.0 builds on the success of its inaugural edition held in 2023, offering an enhanced framework to deliver greater impact to participants.

Speaking at a media chat ahead of the launch, Osita Ede highlighted that the programme integrates practical apprenticeship training with structured mentorship to create sustainable economic opportunities.

“HerFidelity Apprenticeship Programme 2.0 reflects our commitment to continuous improvement. Participants will undergo intensive apprenticeship training under reputable institutions and industry experts in areas such as hair styling, shoemaking, auto mechatronics, and interior decoration,” Ede said.

Beyond skills acquisition, the initiative offers business advisory services, including financial literacy, mentorship throughout the apprenticeship journey, access to Fidelity Bank’s women‑focused and SME financial solutions, and guidance on business formalisation and growth strategies.

“By integrating structured mentorship with entrepreneurial development, Fidelity Bank is positioning women not just as trainees, but as future employers, innovators, and economic contributors within their communities,” Ede added.
