However, Blaqbonez expressed unwavering confidence that he would remain a relevant figure in the music industry for as long as he desires.

In a recent series of tweets, Blaqbonez opened up about his journey, recalling an incident from 2017 when a fellow up-and-coming rapper mocked him.

This rapper, after securing a deal with Olamide’s YBNL Nation, name-dropped Blaqbonez in a freestyle, claiming that Blaqbonez would never find success in the music industry.

While Blaqbonez refrained from naming the rapper directly, fans quickly speculated that he was referring to Limerick, another YBNL signee at the time.

In his tweets, Blaqbonez reflected on how the rapper had added his name to a freestyle in a mocking manner, saying, “you no go ever blow like Blaqbonez” just because of the YBNL deal.

He also questioned how quickly the rapper turned against him, despite their past collaboration in rap battle groups. Blaqbonez expressed frustration at how the rapper seemingly disregarded their history and work ethic once success came his way.

Blaqbonez wrote, “Because u got a deal before me, you added my name to your freestyles, ‘you no go ever blow like Blaqbonez’, all because Olamide signed you, you thought he was God abi??”

He went on to add, “I pray u see these tweets and reflect on your life, at how quick u were ready to sh*t on people, we were in rap battle groups together for years, but as them sign u, it was time to shit on me, my work ethic & everything cos you saw into the future and knew I was never going to blow up right??”

Despite this past mockery, Blaqbonez remained confident in his ability to succeed. He stated, “No be every kind of talent fit last for years, I know who I am, I will be here for as long as I want to be, the music I make nobody can make it, I have fans that have been there since the very beginning, not the ones wey discover me with ‘Bling’ or all that sh*t, the ones I’m talking about know themselves.”

Blaqbonez’s comments serve as both a reminder and an encouragement for emerging artists to focus on their craft, regardless of the opinions of others.
