Bola Tinubu condolence message has paid tribute to the victims of the devastating fire that engulfed Afriland Towers on Broad Street, Lagos Island, on Tuesday, leaving multiple dead and several others injured.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu extended heartfelt sympathies to the families of the deceased and those currently recovering from injuries.

He also expressed solidarity with corporate entities affected by the tragedy, including the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), United Capital, and United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc.

The President further acknowledged Afriland Properties Limited, owners of the high-rise tower, noting the extent of the damage and disruption caused by the incident.

The Bola Tinubu condolence message also included warm praise for emergency responders — from the Federal Fire Service and medical personnel to first aiders and concerned citizens — lauding their swift and responsible intervention during the evacuation efforts.

In his message of comfort, Tinubu called for greater caution, regular training, and heightened vigilance across commercial and public buildings to prevent such heartbreaking occurrences in the future.

“President Tinubu prays that God Almighty will receive the souls of the departed and grant quick recovery to the injured,” the statement read.
