Bold Burna Boy family response shuts down false rumours that the singer fired his mother as manager

According to online reactions on Thursday, a Bold Burna Boy family response has shut down reports claiming that the Grammy winning singer sacked his mother, Bose Ogulu, as his manager.

The rumour circulated widely after ChaftsAfrica shared what it said was an Instagram story from Burna Boy announcing that his mother would no longer handle his career.

The speculation intensified when an X user wrote that the situation around the singer was “getting crazier”, fuelling confusion across social media.

Responding swiftly, Burna Boy’s sister, Nissi, who is also a singer, dismissed the claims outright. Quoting one of the posts, she wrote simply: “FAKE NEWS,” calling attention to what she described as another wave of fabricated online drama.

The false report emerged at a tense moment for the artist, following the cancellation of his “No Sign of Weakness” US tour on Wednesday night over alleged low ticket sales.

Industry watchers said the timing of the rumour added unnecessary pressure to an already challenging week for the performer.

Despite the chatter, members of the family appeared firm and unbothered, signalling that the management structure around Burna Boy remains unchanged.
