CAF and PUMA have unveiled a special gold-edition ITRI match ball for the AFCON 2025 final between Morocco and Senegal

The Confederation of African Football (CAF), in collaboration with technical partner PUMA, has unveiled a commemorative edition of the official match ball for the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025 final.

According to a statement published on CAF’s official website on Friday, the special version of the ITRI match ball will be used during Sunday’s final between hosts Morocco and Senegal at the Stade Prince Moulay Abdellah. Kick-off is scheduled for 20:00 local time (19:00 GMT).

The commemorative ball features distinctive gold accents, symbolising excellence and paying tribute to both finalist teams as they battle for continental glory.

The ITRI ball, which has been used throughout the tournament, is inspired by traditional Moroccan zellij geometric patterns.

Its design incorporates central star geometry, floral petal outlines, and circular symmetry, reflecting Morocco’s rich artistic heritage.

CAF explained that the ball is built using PUMA’s advanced Orbita 6 technology, combining innovation with cultural expression while meeting the high-performance standards required for elite-level competition.

“One team will be crowned the new champions of Africa using a ball that celebrates both African heritage and modern football excellence,” CAF stated.
