According to the Daily Mail, the Red Devils are monitoring the 29-year-old forward ahead of the winter transfer window following a fresh injury setback involving Benjamin Sesko.

United are understood to be interested in bringing in another striker to provide additional options in attack, with Calvert-Lewin emerging as a potential target.

However, any attempt to sign the England international could prove complicated because of the fierce rivalry between Manchester United and Leeds United.

Calvert-Lewin has enjoyed a revival at Elland Road since joining Leeds on a free transfer in the summer of 2025.

The striker has scored 20 goals in 49 appearances for the club, including five goals in 10 matches at the start of the current season.

His improved form has reportedly attracted United’s attention as the club considers possible reinforcements ahead of January.

The potential move would be a controversial one given the longstanding rivalry between the two clubs, although it remains to be seen whether Manchester United will make a formal approach for the forward.
