The pharmacist and actor defeated Gerard in the final contest to secure immunity before using his veto power to protect Sheba from possible eviction

Anambra-born pharmacist and actor Chimsom Chuka on Monday, August 24, 2026, reclaimed the Head of House title for the second time in Big Brother Naija Season 11, defeating Gerard in the final head-to-head contest and securing immunity from this week’s eviction nominations.

Chimsom’s latest victory came in the fifth week of the “Show Ya Sef” edition, just a day after Cassi became the latest housemate to leave the competition. The win gives Chimsom another week of safety and places him in a powerful position as the remaining contestants battle for the record ₦160 million grand prize.

Beyond immunity, Chimsom’s latest victory came with an important strategic responsibility. During Monday’s nomination process, housemates were asked to publicly name two fellow contestants they wanted to save from possible eviction and explain their choices.

Sheba received the highest number of save votes from her fellow housemates, leaving her position in the hands of the newly crowned HoH.

Chimsom subsequently exercised his veto power to save Sheba, removing her from the pool of housemates facing possible eviction this week.

The decision means Chimsom, Abi and Sheba are all protected from the latest eviction nominations. Chimsom is safe through his HoH status, while Abi retained immunity after being named the Most Influential Player of the Week following Sunday’s eviction.

Sheba, meanwhile, benefited from Chimsom’s veto.

Aikou and Flora, who were introduced earlier in the season as the show’s Gambits, also remain protected from eviction under the special rules governing their status.

The latest development leaves the remaining eligible housemates facing another round of audience voting, with the next live eviction show scheduled for Sunday.

The stakes have continued to rise since Cassi’s departure on Sunday, August 23, leaving 19 housemates in the “Show Ya Sef” house.

Cassi’s exit followed a tense week in which several contestants faced possible eviction, while the house also witnessed confrontations and shifting alliances.

The eventual winner of BBNaija Season 11 will receive a ₦160 million grand prize package, comprising ₦100 million in cash, a brand-new SUV and additional prizes from sponsors.

For Chimsom, however, the immediate prize is strategic.
