Lovette Okechukwu leaves the “Show Ya Sef” house after five weeks, finishing with 5.02 per cent of the public vote as 17 contestants remain

Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemate Lovette Okechukwu, popularly known as Goddessa, was evicted from the “Show Ya Sef” house in Lagos on Sunday, August 30, 2026, after five weeks in the reality competition, ending a colourful run marked by music, romance and growing tensions.

Goddessa evicted from the competition alongside fellow housemate Sultex during the fifth live eviction show hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, leaving 17 contestants in the race for the record ₦160 million prize package.

For Goddessa, the result brought an abrupt end to a journey that had increasingly centred on her relationships inside the house and her efforts to establish herself as a distinctive personality among the season’s 24 original contestants.

The Abia-born musician entered the competition with ambitions of using the platform to advance her music career while allowing viewers to see more of the person behind her artistry.

She quickly became one of the more recognisable housemates, combining confidence and spontaneity with a willingness to speak openly about situations that affected her.

One of the most closely followed chapters of her stay involved her relationship with Araga.

The two housemates shared a kiss earlier in the season, creating one of the show’s early romantic storylines. But what initially appeared promising became increasingly complicated as disagreements began to test their connection.

Following the Saturday Night Link-Up, Araga attempted to apologise to Goddessa over the way he had spoken to her. Goddessa initially declined to engage with him, making it clear that she wanted space.

Temi Nkem later intervened as the two attempted to navigate the tension.

Goddessa subsequently discussed the situation with Abi and Sheba, explaining that she believed Araga had feelings for her but that his ego was affecting the relationship.

She also expressed discomfort with what she perceived as attempts to influence how she interacted with other male housemates.

At the heart of the disagreement was a question of trust. Having known Araga for only a relatively short period, Goddessa maintained that she wanted the freedom to make her own decisions inside the house.

That tension became one of the more prominent threads of her final days in the competition.

Yet Goddessa’s journey was not defined solely by romance.

She had already demonstrated considerable resilience earlier in the season. During Week Two, she reportedly received six nominations from fellow housemates, the highest number recorded at that point, but survived the resulting eviction process.

She again found herself vulnerable in Week Four, when she was among eight housemates facing the public vote alongside Cassi, Araga, Nomy, Temi Nkem, Tram and Yusuf.

Her eventual exit came under a significantly different nomination format.

Week Five, themed “Topsy-Turvy Week”, introduced another twist in which housemates were asked to publicly identify contestants they wanted to save rather than directly nominate those they wanted evicted.

Goddessa, Sheba and Aikou emerged with the highest save votes.

However, Chimsom Chuka, who had won the Head of House challenge for the second time, was given the power to break the tie and choose one of the three contestants for protection.

Fourteen contestants were ultimately placed on the eviction list, including Araga, Barry, Bells, Bluethopia, Gerard, Goddessa, Keivo, Nomy, Oyin, Ricky, Sultex, Temi Nkem, Tram and Yusuf.

The public vote then determined who would remain in the competition.

Goddessa’s final week also coincided with heightened tension across the house.

A confrontation between Sultex, Yusuf and Bells nearly became physical after a disagreement escalated in the garden. Goddessa later advised Yusuf not to allow the incident to damage his reputation, urging him to be mindful of statements made during moments of anger. (Channels Television)

Her intervention offered another glimpse of the role she had developed within the house, moving between personal disagreements and the wider social dynamics that increasingly shaped the competition.

The season itself has already undergone several dramatic changes since its July 26 launch.

The unusual start to the season included “The Gambit”, which meant there was no eviction in the opening week. Martins Iyeh and Ijeoma “Mercedes” Emi eventually became the first housemates to leave during the first double eviction on August 9. (Channels Television)

Kamsy Uzoma followed a week later, while Neche voluntarily left the competition on August 16 because of what organisers described as pressing personal matters. Cassi then became the next evicted contestant on August 23. (Channels Television)

Goddessa and Sultex now join that growing list as the competition enters a more intense stage.

For Goddessa, the five-week experience has nevertheless provided something beyond the immediate disappointment of eviction. Her music, personality and relationships have given viewers several memorable moments, while the visibility generated by the show could offer a fresh platform for her artistic ambitions outside the house.

Her departure also leaves Araga and the other remaining housemates to navigate relationships without one of the season’s more outspoken personalities.
