Speaking on BBC Radio Five Live, Sutton described Neto as an “idiot” and said the Portuguese player’s disciplinary problems are creating unnecessary challenges for manager Liam Rosenior.

“Pedro Neto let Chelsea down badly. What an idiot getting sent off like that,” Sutton said.

“This poor disciplinary record continues to hamper [Liam] Rosenior’s attempts to secure a top-four finish and progress further in European competition.”
