Coleman Staff Appreciation Day rewarded loyal employees with cash prizes and celebrations as the company marked its golden jubilee in Lagos

Coleman Staff Appreciation Day was held in Lagos over the weekend, bringing joy, recognition, and rewards to dedicated employees of Coleman Technical Industries Limited, as the company celebrated its golden jubilee.

The event, which featured cash prizes, games, and awards, was part of the activities marking 50 years of excellence by the makers of Coleman Wires and Cables, Nigeria’s leading cable manufacturing firm.

With over 800 employees and two major plants in Sagamu and Arepo, the company has built its success on continuous training, capacity building, and rewarding loyalty.

Employees who had served 15 years or more received ₦100,000 each, while those with 20 years and above were awarded ₦200,000.

The biggest recognition of the night went to Mrs. Adefemi Grace, Coleman’s longest-serving staff member with 38 years of service, who received nearly ₦1 million in appreciation.

Other staff honoured for outstanding service included Aloma Samuel, Atanda Ganiyu, Olanade Adetunji, Bamishile Johnson, Ifedayo Olanrewaju, Jubril Ganiyu, Ikini Enahoro, and Mrs. Grace.

The night also featured a raffle draw with winners Ojejinmi Oluwaseyi, Adeleke Folashade, Abah Henry, Okosun Joy, and Aladesesin Henry, each going home with ₦50,000.

Speaking during the event, Managing Director/CEO, Mr. George Onafowokan, expressed heartfelt gratitude to all staff:

“We cannot be here without all of you. The journey to 50 is about every one of us. Though the company is not officially 50 yet, we’re celebrating the people behind the success story.”

He also revealed plans to upgrade salary structures and staff welfare as Coleman looks forward to the next chapter of its legacy.

The night was not just about awards—it was a full-blown celebration. Staff from all branches bonded over dance competitions, scavenger hunts, and laughter-filled games.

The event radiated the company’s strong culture of unity, innovation, and appreciation.

As the night drew to a close with music and cheers, it was clear that Coleman’s commitment to its people is more than policy—it’s a tradition.
