Nelson, 25, is entering the final two years of his contract at the Emirates and has been left out of Arsenal’s squad for their opening two Premier League fixtures this season — a clear sign that he may no longer feature in Mikel Arteta’s plans.

The winger had spent last season on loan at Fulham, who were also previously in talks to re-sign him earlier in the transfer window.

However, the Cottagers have since moved on to alternative targets, most notably Kevin from Shakhtar Donetsk, as they aim to strengthen their wide options.

Fulham are also actively pursuing a right-winger, with Samuel Chukwueze high on their list.

For Crystal Palace, Nelson could be a valuable addition to their attacking line, offering Premier League experience and pace down the flanks.
