The Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has expressed profound grief over the tragic death of Nihinloluwa Agoro and her two children, Temiloluwa and Isaac, following a fatal road accident in Fort Bend County, Texas, United States, in what has been described as a deeply Dabiri-Erewa Texas Nigerian family death.

The accident reportedly occurred on Sunday, 15 March 2026, while the family was travelling to church, a routine journey that ended in devastating loss.

In a statement issued through NiDCOM’s Head of Media, Public Relations and Protocols Unit, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, Dabiri-Erewa described the incident as heartbreaking, noting that such sudden tragedies leave lasting pain for families and communities.

She extended condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the peaceful repose of the deceased, while also wishing a swift recovery to anyone injured in the crash.

The NiDCOM boss further expressed solidarity with the Nigerian community in Texas and across the United States, urging road users to exercise caution in order to prevent avoidable tragedies.

The Dabiri-Erewa Texas Nigerian family death has drawn renewed attention to concerns over safety and the welfare of Nigerians abroad, particularly following similar incidents involving Nigerian nationals in recent months.

Dabiri-Erewa also reiterated her commitment to supporting Nigerians in the diaspora, especially in moments of crisis, as part of NiDCOM’s broader mandate of protection and engagement.
