Governor Dapo Abiodun appoints new governing boards for major Ogun State agencies including SUBEB, Housing, Water, Agriculture and Traffic Compliance

Dapo Abiodun board appointments have been confirmed following the governor’s approval of governing boards for major agencies in Ogun State, marking a significant step in strengthening state administration.

The announcement was made on Friday in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr Tokunbo Talabi. The move reflects the governor’s continued commitment to service delivery through strategic appointments.

Hon. Ifede Joshua has been named Chairman of the Ogun State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB). Other members appointed to the board include Barr. Femi Odufowokan, Hon. Isiaka Aderounmu, Abiodun Donald Ajayi, and Rt. Hon. Akeem Balogun.

Ex-officio members on the SUBEB board are Mrs. Kemi Adeogun, Hon. Wale Adeogun, Hon. Waheed Ogundele, Stephen Kolawole Odusanya, and Hon. Moroof Paramole.

At the Ogun State Housing Corporation, Hon. Yemi Adelani has been named Chairman. He will work alongside Hon. Suraju Logere, Fatai Ajigbare, Olalotan Olusegun, Sunday Sowunmi, Chief Sogbamu Ayinde, Mr. Kolawole Isola, Alhaji Abiola Logere, Hon. Idowu Olumuyiwa, Mr. Adeyinka Adeleye, and Adenle Nojeem.

Johnson Fatoki will chair the Ogun State Water Corporation, supported by Akeran Jimoh, Engr. Femi Oyebanjo, Hon. Gafar Balogun, Hon. Omowunmi Adewale, and Mrs. Ganiyat Abiola Busari as members.

In the transport sector, Hon. Wale Habeeb Ajayi has been appointed Chairman of the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Board, a critical agency responsible for road safety and traffic management across the state.

Agricultural development also received a leadership boost with the appointment of Hon. Waliu Taiwo as Chairman of the Ogun State Agricultural Development Corporation.

The appointments signal a new phase of leadership across key sectors in Ogun State. With a mix of experienced politicians, professionals, and community leaders, the boards are expected to strengthen institutional oversight, ensure policy execution, and promote development at grassroots and urban levels.

Governor Abiodun’s administration has continued to emphasise competence and service as the basis for governance, with these appointments forming part of broader efforts to consolidate his second-term agenda.
