The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, confirmed the incident in a statement released on Sunday. During this operation, they recovered one AK-47 rifle and 132 rounds of live ammunition.

Further investigation led the police to another hideout situated in a forest between Issele-Asagba and Otulu, where a suspect identified as Bellow Abubakar and his gang members were lying in wait.
