Delta Police uncover the body of site engineer Chigozie Udalor, allegedly killed and buried by his workers in a shocking case of workplace violence.

 

The Delta State Police Command has uncovered the body of 38-year-old Chigozie Udalor, a site engineer who was allegedly murdered and buried in a shallow grave by his employees.

State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, revealed the development in a video statement on Thursday.

According to the report, Udalor was employed by his cousin to oversee a construction project and had hired four young men from Benue State to assist with the work.

On 10 December 2024, the workers reportedly conspired against him, attacking him with a hammer and striking him on the head.

After killing him, they buried his body at the construction site in a desperate attempt to conceal the crime.

Following an investigation, the police arrested two of the suspects, leading to the exhumation of Udalor’s remains on 2 April 2025. The search for the remaining suspects is ongoing.

The tragic case highlights the dangers of workplace violence and betrayal, with the police vowing to bring all those involved to justice.
