Eberechi Eze Arsenal Tottenham clash ends 4-1 as Gunners go five points clear, while Liverpool seal dramatic late win

Eberechi Eze struck twice as Arsenal F.C. thrashed Tottenham Hotspur F.C. 4–1 on Sunday to restore a five point lead at the top of the Premier League.

Eberechi Eze Arsenal Tottenham dominance proved decisive in a high stakes north London derby, easing pressure on Mikel Arteta’s side after successive draws against Brentford and Wolves.

The England international opened the scoring just after the half hour mark, hooking home from close range. Tottenham responded swiftly through Randal Kolo Muani to level the contest.

Viktor Gyokeres restored Arsenal’s advantage early in the second half with a clinical finish, before Eberechi Eze added his second after Guglielmo Vicario denied Bukayo Saka.

The result handed Arsenal breathing space in the title race, although Manchester City F.C. retain a game in hand ahead of a crucial meeting between the top two in April.

Tottenham, under interim manager Igor Tudor, remain just four points above the relegation zone after another damaging derby defeat.

At the City Ground, Alexis Mac Allister scored in the 97th minute to secure a dramatic 1–0 win for Liverpool F.C. against Nottingham Forest F.C..

Alexis Mac Allister had earlier seen a goal ruled out for handball after blocking Ola Aina’s clearance.

However, the midfielder reacted quickest to convert a rebound after Virgil van Dijk’s header was saved.

The victory keeps Liverpool sixth but level on points with Chelsea F.C. and Manchester United F.C., and within six points of Aston Villa F.C. in the race for Champions League qualification.

Elsewhere, Fulham F.C. climbed into the top half with a 3–1 victory at Sunderland A.F.C., courtesy of a double from Raul Jimenez.

Crystal Palace F.C. edged 10 man Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C. 1–0, with Evann Guessand scoring his first Palace goal in the 90th minute.
