Former Kaduna State Governor El-Rufai says the Tinubu administration is uncomfortable with his return to Nigeria, insisting the political struggle to challenge the government has just begun

Former Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, has suggested that the current administration under President Bola Tinubu is uneasy about his return to Nigeria.

El-Rufai made the comments during an interview with BBC Hausa, stating that the political struggle to challenge the government has only just begun.

“You know, when that government came, I was among the few people who came out and told her we would oppose it and remove it. There was nothing I did not say. If they had anything against me like they claim to have against others, the matter would have long been settled,” El-Rufai said.

He added, “But even if you want to accuse me, make sure you prove the accusation. I am waiting; whoever invites me, I will go.”

The former governor clarified that his disagreement with the current administration stems from differences in objectives rather than personal issues, emphasizing that he has no personal rift with President Bola Tinubu.
