Brighton manager Fabian Hürzeler praises Arsenal, saying the Gunners will deserve the Premier League if they secure the title this season

Brighton & Hove Albion manager Fabian Hürzeler has expressed admiration for Arsenal, stating that the Gunners will fully deserve the Premier League title if they win this season.

Hürzeler made the remarks on Friday, according to football journalist Fabrizio Romano, saying, “I will be the first one to congratulate Arsenal when they win the Premier League, because if they win it, they will definitely deserve it.”

The comments come amid clarification following earlier statements by Hürzeler, which he said were misinterpreted.

“There were things that made me emotional, I am a person that sticks to my principles… and it created a lot of noise,” he explained.

The Brighton manager also revealed that he had personally reached out to Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta.

“I’ve texted Arteta. I have huge respect for him, one of the top managers in the Premier League. I love to see them play, and I admire a lot of elements of what they are doing. My comments were nothing personal,” Hürzeler said.
