The announcement was contained in a statement issued by the club’s media officer, Ramalan Abubakar, on behalf of the Lafia-based management on Tuesday.

Among the players released are Abdullahi Abdulrahman, Zamani Panshak, Mko Andrew, Zakaria Sunday, and Enoch Kudu. Others affected include experienced midfielder Ichull Lordson, Peter Eneji, Musa Aminu, and Ishaku Faisal.

The club’s decision comes after FC Basira failed to secure promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), ending the season in third place on the NNL Conference C table.
