Nigeria’s Felix Agu returns to Werder Bremen training after a month-long adductor injury, set to feature in the squad against Mainz this weekend

Felix Agu, the Nigerian international and Werder Bremen defender, has resumed training after spending roughly a month sidelined due to an adductor injury.

Agu, 26, has struggled with injuries this season and previously missed the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations following surgery in October 2025.

According to German media outlet Deichstube, Agu participated in Bremen’s training session on Thursday and is expected to be included in Werder Bremen’s squad for their upcoming Bundesliga clash against Mainz.

This season, Agu has made nine league appearances for Werder Bremen under head coach Daniel Thioune. His return is a boost for Bremen as they look to strengthen their defense ahead of crucial matches.
