Millwall Football Club, English Championship side, have reportedly blocked winger Femi Azeez from joining the Nigeria national team ahead of upcoming international friendlies against Poland and Portugal, according to reports on Monday, 2 June 2026.

Femi Azeez Super Eagles call-up block comes shortly after the 24-year-old forward was drafted into the national team setup as a replacement for Samuel Chukwueze, following an impressive showing at the Unity Cup invitational tournament.

Azeez, who recently made a strong debut for the Super Eagles by scoring a brace against Zimbabwe, had been expected to continue his international involvement as Nigeria prepared for the European friendlies.

However, Millwall are said to have intervened due to ongoing transfer developments involving the player, with the club prioritising his availability amid growing interest from several Premier League sides.

Reports indicate that Millwall recently rejected a €20 million offer from Ipswich Town for the former Watford winger, underlining their reluctance to lose him during a key phase of the transfer window.
