The development follows a briefing to President Bola Tinubu by DSS Director-General Tosin Ajayi on Friday regarding the country’s escalating security challenges.

Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, shared the update on X, accompanied by photographs of Ajayi in the President’s office.

When contacted for confirmation, the presidential spokesman said the arrangement “is possible,” but declined to provide further details.

The move comes amid a spate of abductions and violent attacks. Earlier in the week, 26 students were kidnapped from Government Girls Comprehensive Secondary School in Maga, Kebbi State, while worshippers at Christ Apostolic Church in Eruku, Kwara State, faced an attack that left two dead and 38 abducted.

On Friday, gunmen abducted over 303 children and 12 teachers from St Mary’s Catholic School in Papiri, Agwara LGA, Niger State.
