Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, disclosed this in Abuja during a meeting with the management team of Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas Limited (NLNG).

The discussions focused on production targets, investment climate, and reforms aimed at repositioning Nigeria’s energy sector.

Edun credited President Bola Tinubu with stabilising the economy, attracting new investment opportunities, and implementing reforms to make Nigeria’s energy sector more competitive.

NLNG Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Philip Mshelbila, provided updates on the company’s operations, including improved gas supply, enhanced security on the Trans-Niger pipeline, and infrastructure utilisation now above 70 per cent.

He also noted steady progress on the Bodo-Bonny Road and called for the extension of the East-West highway under the tax credit scheme.
