The 38-year-old officer and her daughter were reported missing on the morning of 2 November 2025 after leaving their residence at Obasanjo Hilltop Estate, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, and never returned.

Police later arrested Victor Fajemirokun, the deceased’s partner, who confessed to luring the pair to their deaths at the hands of herbalists in Osun State.

Two herbalists, Gboyega Daramola and Sunday James, were also paraded by the police.

The burial service, attended by family, friends, and FRSC officers from Ogun and Osun Commands, lasted about 45 minutes.

The coffins, draped with the FRSC and national flags, were escorted from the morgue of Osun State University Teaching Hospital to the burial ground in a convoy led by the Osun FRSC Sector Commander, Leye Adegboyega.

Ven. Lekan Salami, Vicar of St John’s Anglican Church, exhorted mourners on the transience of life, reading from Thessalonians 4:13–18, and urged reflection on eternity and righteousness.
