Fulham claimed a 2-1 Premier League victory over Chelsea at Craven Cottage on Sunday, leaving the Blues to reflect on a troubled campaign under caretaker manager Calum McFarlane.

Chelsea were reduced to 10 men in the 22nd minute when Marc Cucurella received a red card for a professional foul on Harry Wilson, forcing the visitors onto the back foot for the rest of the match.

The deadlock was broken in the 55th minute as Fulham’s Raul Jimenez rose to head home. Chelsea responded swiftly, with Liam Delap equalising from close range after the ball rebounded off the post from a corner.

Fulham regained the lead nine minutes from time when Harry Wilson capitalised on a defensive lapse, controlling the ball expertly and volleying past goalkeeper Robert Sanchez to seal the win.

The result leaves Chelsea in eighth place, below Brentford, while Fulham climb to 31 points, consolidating a top-half position.

Chelsea’s disciplinary woes were highlighted, marking the club’s eighth red card of the season, including a previous sending-off under former manager Enzo Maresca.
