The Turkish champions have reportedly ended plans to entertain offers for the Nigeria striker as they prioritise their domestic and Champions League ambitions

Galatasaray have reportedly made a firm Osimhen transfer decision, ruling out talks over a potential sale of Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen regardless of the size of any offer that may arrive before the transfer window closes.

The Turkish champions had previously been open to considering an extraordinary proposal for Osimhen, with reports at the beginning of the season suggesting that an offer in the region of €120 million to €140 million could have prompted discussions.

That position has now reportedly changed.

Galatasaray management and the coaching staff are said to regard Osimhen as central to their ambitions in the Süper Lig and the UEFA Champions League, making his continued presence a priority for the club.

As a result, the club is reportedly not prepared to consider proposals submitted through agents or intermediaries during the remainder of the current transfer window.

The latest stance represents a significant shift from the earlier possibility that an exceptional financial offer could have opened the door to negotiations.

Osimhen has become a key figure in Galatasaray’s attacking plans since joining the club permanently, following his loan spell in Istanbul during the 2024/25 season.

His goals and performances played an important role in Galatasaray’s domestic success, while the club’s decision to retain him reflects its desire to compete on multiple fronts.

The striker’s importance is particularly pronounced as Galatasaray prepare for another demanding European campaign. The club sees his pace, physical presence and finishing ability as important assets in matches against stronger opposition in the Champions League.

The latest position also sends a clear message to potential suitors. Even a substantial proposal would reportedly not trigger negotiations before the transfer window shuts.
