At a pivotal stakeholders’ meeting in Osogbo, the former governor and current Minister of Marine and Blue Economy announced that he would not seek the party’s ticket for the upcoming race.

His clear stance ends speculation and positions him as a unifying force. “We have qualified, competent, and people of outstanding track records as aspirants,” Oyetola said, emphasizing his focus on party success rather than personal ambition.

The meeting, co-chaired by Osun APC Chairman Tajudeen Lawal and Elders’ Caucus leader Sola Akinwumi, included five declared aspirants. Oyetola urged them to maintain decorum, embrace unity, and support whoever emerges as the party’s flag bearer.
