Babayemi, who contested the APC governorship ticket, visited 30 local government areas, the Ife-East Area office, and 299 of the state’s 332 wards.

Speaking to over 2,000 supporters and party stakeholders via telephone from abroad, the Gbongan-born prince thanked them for their loyalty and urged continued unity.

“I want to sincerely thank you for your unwavering support for me and our great party, the APC. At this juncture, I want to further appeal that we must stay focused, strong and united for our party. The party is supreme and its decision is binding on everyone,” Babayemi said.

The meeting, held in Osogbo, also addressed reports that some members at the grassroots were drifting towards other parties.

Sir Gbenga Adebusuyi, leader of the Ireti Osun Movement, stressed the importance of reinforcing party loyalty and ensuring that all members across the 332 wards received consistent information.

Adebusuyi added that the parley became necessary following complaints from some members who felt ostracised by the party before and after the governorship primary.
