Oyo State Police arrest two suspects over the murder of a 62-year-old woman in Ibadan, with investigations ongoing to apprehend other accomplices

Oyo State Police Command has arrested two individuals in connection with the murder of a 62-year-old woman in Ibadan. The command disclosed the development on Friday in a statement signed by Public Relations Officer Olayinka Ayanlade.

The incident occurred on Wednesday at Ori Apata in Ido Local Government Area under circumstances described as controversial.

The deceased’s body was promptly evacuated to Adeoyo General Hospital for autopsy and post-mortem examinations to determine the precise cause of death.

Preliminary investigations led to the arrest of Muhammed Sanusi, 42, and Ogbu James Ajah, 40, both residents of Ori Apata, Ido.

The suspects are currently in custody at the State Criminal Investigation Department and are cooperating with authorities.
