Iyanya, who previously collaborated with Wizkid on the hit track ‘Sexy Mama’ early in his career, has faced scrutiny after publicly showing support for Davido’s music.

This led an X user, @Akubasteeny, to question his allegiance, commenting under one of Iyanya’s posts, “I thought Wiz was your friend. I am just wondering why you switched side and turn into Davido’s boy.”

In his response, Iyanya firmly stated that he has no issues with any of his fellow artists. He emphasized that he supports Wizkid in the same way he supports other musicians in the industry. Iyanya further accused fans of creating unnecessary divisions and pitting artists against each other.

He wrote, “I don’t have an issue with any artiste. I played Wizkid’s ‘Made in Lagos’ and ‘Morayo,’ the same way I play every other artiste’s songs.

I don’t have an issue with any artiste. I played Wizkid’s ‘Made in Lagos’ and ‘Morayo,’ the same way I play every other artiste’s songs… Na una fans dey try dey push agenda wey no dey,” – Iyanya.

Most artistes will not say this, artistes are the first to listen to other artistes projects when they drop. Na our work to know what’s happening in the game in terms of sound etc.

“I was playing Fola’s songs before he had a big song that’s cos @ubifranklin1 loves listening to a lot of new artists and he will always introduce me to their sound.

“Fireboy ‘Adedamola’ album, Joeboy ‘Viva Lavida’ album, I Dey play all and I tell you me no get enemy o. So make una stop this friend or no friend. Me and Burna still see for club 3 weeks ago and we vibe well. Na una fans dey try dey push agenda wey no dey.”

Iyanya’s statement aims to dispel any notion of him choosing sides in the Wizkid-Davido feud, highlighting the professional respect and camaraderie that exists among artists despite fan-driven rivalries.
