The controversy arose after a blog with the X handle @Naija_PR posted photos of Spyro alongside Davido with the caption: “My career experienced a setback after I featured Davido and Mayourkun – Spyro.”

This post alluded to a supposed interview with Hip TV where Spyro allegedly stated that he believed the 2018 remix of his song ‘Funke,’ featuring Davido and Mayorkun, would elevate his career. Contrary to his expectations, he reportedly claimed to have encountered an unforeseen setback despite the song’s initial success.

This alleged revelation sparked criticism, particularly from fans of Davido, who perceived Spyro’s supposed statement as blaming the 30BG boss for his career misfortunes.

However, Spyro has swiftly responded to these claims, unequivocally dismissing the blog post as false. In a direct reaction, the singer insisted, “This is false!!! I never said anything like this, I give you 24 hours to take this down or be prepared to face the consequences.”

Spyro’s strong denial aims to set the record straight and clarify his stance on the collaboration. His reaction underscores the potential for misinformation to spread rapidly on social media and the importance of artists addressing such claims directly.

This incident highlights the often-complex dynamics within the music industry and the sensitivities surrounding collaborations between artists.
