In its unaudited financial results released on Monday, the insurer reported that total assets rose by 39 per cent year-on-year to ₦44.09 billion, up from ₦31.75 billion in the corresponding period of 2024.

Lasaco Assurance Q2 2025 results also showed that insurance revenue reached ₦16.89 billion, marking a 47 per cent increase from ₦11.47 billion in the same period last year.

Insurance service expenses rose to ₦13.08 billion, up by 67 per cent, a sign of the firm’s sustained obligations to claims and policyholder commitments.

Despite inflationary pressures and fluctuating market dynamics, Lasaco posted a net investment result of ₦1.85 billion, a staggering 288 per cent growth from ₦476.94 million in Q2 2024.

This performance demonstrates the company’s prudent investment strategies and efficient portfolio management.

Commenting on the performance, Managing Director/CEO, Mr Razzaq Abiodun, said:

Lasaco Assurance Q2 2025 results also reflect increased investments in business digitisation, consultancy, and structural branch reforms.

These efforts, while elevating short-term operational expenses, are designed to future-proof the organisation and improve long-term efficiency.

“These initiatives are critical to positioning the company for future growth,” the statement noted.

Rising reinsurance costs and shifts in service-related expenditure were highlighted as part of the broader transformation strategy’s cost implications.

In addition, Lasaco continues to invest in strategic real estate projects, such as the Silvercrest Estate in Ikeja, Lagos, as well as several joint ventures executed through subsidiary offices, aimed at unlocking diversified revenue streams.
