Former Manchester United left-back Patrice Evra, on Friday, 29 May 2026, in an interview with GOAL, urged Manchester United to pursue a move for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, describing him as a player capable of transforming the club’s attacking fortunes.

The comments come as Manchester United reportedly close in on a £38 million deal for Atalanta midfielder Ederson, who is expected to become the first signing under manager Michael Carrick.

“Manchester United need a proper striker… back in the day, we had four amazing strikers, and if you want to play every competition, you need more strikers. Osimhen because I know this guy can make a difference.”
