Mutfwang political appointees dismissal confirmed as Plateau governor sacks six aides and suspends commission chairman over misconduct allegations

Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang has approved the immediate dismissal of six political appointees in a sweeping administrative shake-up aimed at strengthening governance and improving service delivery across the state.

The Mutfwang political appointees dismissal was announced in a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Samuel Jatau, who said the decision reflects efforts to reposition the administration for greater efficiency and closer alignment with its policy priorities.

The affected officials include Timothy Golu, Gwottson Fom, Nanbol Rimvyat, Nannim Langyi, Paul Datugum, and Nimchak Rims, all of whom served in various liaison and advisory capacities within the government.

The statement did not provide detailed reasons for the dismissals but emphasised that the restructuring was part of ongoing reforms within the administration.

In a related development, Governor Mutfwang also approved the suspension of the Chairman of the Plateau State House of Assembly Service Commission, Johnbull Shakarau, over allegations of misconduct.

The suspension is expected to remain in place pending the outcome of investigations into the allegations.

The state government expressed appreciation for the contributions of the affected officials and directed them to immediately hand over all government property in their possession.
