Simultaneous NPFL Kick-Off Fixtures decision was communicated in a memo issued on Thursday by the league’s Chief Operating Officer, Davidson Owumi, and circulated to all participating clubs.

According to Owumi, the scheduling adjustment is designed to protect the integrity of the competition and eliminate any possibility of undue advantage in the final stages of the title race.

“It has also become imperative to remind all clubs that the remaining games of Matchday 37 and 38 have been scheduled to be played simultaneously on the same date, with a kick-off time of 4 p.m.,” he stated.

He further explained that the move is strictly to uphold sporting fairness and maintain confidence in the league’s results as the season draws to a close.

“This decision is to ensure sporting fairness and to protect the integrity of our matches and results,” Owumi added.

Clubs have also been warned against requesting changes to match dates or kick-off times due to venue challenges.

Owumi directed that any club facing issues with its home ground must quickly submit an alternative NPFL-accredited venue before the specified deadline.

“Should any club have issues with the unavailability of its regular venue, such a club must choose and communicate an alternative NPFL-accredited venue before the close of business on May 7, 2026,” he said.

He further cautioned that failure to comply would result in the league body selecting a venue on behalf of the club.
