The certificate of appointment was presented to him by Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, during a visit to Iyiegbu’s residence on Monday night, the entrepreneur disclosed on Instagram on Tuesday.

The Anambra-born businessman said the visit also provided a platform to discuss national issues.

“Last night, my long-time friend and brother, Seyi Tinubu, paid me a visit at my home. We held great conversations about everything,” he wrote.

Addressing public reactions to his appointment, Obi Cubana defended his decision, emphasising the need for active engagement over isolation to achieve meaningful change.

“I’m fully aware of the varied reactions it has sparked. My belief remains firm: lasting change comes from constructive engagement, not standing apart,” he said.

The nightlife entrepreneur assured that the new position would not compromise his commitment to integrity, community development, and responsible leadership.

“All of us need all of us in order to achieve our national aspirations, and I am committed to carrying every Nigerian along in all that I do,” he added.
