Ola Aina wins his first Premier League Player of the Match award after impressive performance in Nottingham Forest’s 0-0 draw against Fulham

Nigerian international Ola Aina claimed his first-ever Premier League Player of the Match award following Nottingham Forest’s 0-0 draw against Fulham on Sunday at the City Ground, DAILY POST reports.

Aina delivered a commanding performance as the full-back, finishing with the highest tackles (4) and duels won (4) in the game.

He also registered 10 clearances, five headed clearances, three recoveries, and one interception.

The Nigeria international came close to scoring the winning goal in the second half, but his powerful shot from inside the box rattled the woodwork.

Fellow Nigerian Taiwo Awoniyi featured as a substitute for Forest, while Fulham fielded three Nigerian players: Alex Iwobi, Calvin Bassey, and Samuel Chukwueze.
