The Ooni, one of Nigeria’s most influential traditional rulers, previously made headlines following the end of his marriage to Naomi Silekunola.

After the separation, the monarch married several wives within a short period in 2022, including Mariam Anako, Elizabeth Akinmuda, Tobiloba Philips, Ashley Adegoke, Ronke Ademiluyi and Temitope Adesegun.

During celebrations marking his 48th birthday and seventh coronation anniversary, the monarch explained that some of his marital decisions were influenced by the cultural and traditional heritage attached to the throne of Ile-Ife.
