Opta model forecasts Arsenal as Premier League title favourites comes after Manchester City recorded a comfortable 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace on Wednesday night, a result that keeps Pep Guardiola’s side two points behind Arsenal with both teams having two matches remaining.

City’s win was achieved without striker Erling Haaland featuring, as the Norwegian remained on the bench throughout the encounter, while Guardiola rotated his squad in a much changed starting lineup.

Despite the tight race, the data model gives Arsenal a commanding 85.68 percent chance of lifting the Premier League trophy, signalling strong confidence in Mikel Arteta’s side.

Arsenal’s remaining fixtures include a home clash against already relegated Burnley before a final day trip to Crystal Palace, fixtures that the model suggests could be decisive in the title race.

According to projections, Arsenal are expected to finish the season on approximately 83 points, which would represent one of the lowest winning totals in Premier League history since Leicester City’s 81 point triumph in 2016.

The model further predicts that Manchester City could finish just three points behind Arsenal, underlining how closely contested the title race remains.
