According to data compiled by Opta and reported by BBC Sport on Tuesday, former Manchester City midfielder Yaya Touré and Fulham striker Raúl Jiménez top the Premier League penalty efficiency charts, scoring all 11 penalties they attempted.

Despite being the Premier League’s record goalscorer, Alan Shearer, who converted 56 of 67 penalties, does not rank among the most clinical when judged by conversion rate.

Other prolific scorers such as Frank Lampard, Mohamed Salah, Harry Kane, Steven Gerrard, and Mark Noble also miss out on the top 10.

Following Touré and Jiménez, Southampton legend Matt Le Tissier converted 25 of 26 penalties for a 96.2 per cent success rate.

Former Premier League stars Danny Murphy (94.7 per cent), Callum Wilson (94.1 per cent), James Beattie (94.1 per cent), and Julian Dicks (93.8 per cent) also feature in the top performers.

Current players like Cole Palmer (92.9 per cent) and Bukayo Saka (92.3 per cent) demonstrate impressive efficiency, while Thierry Henry rounds out the list with 92 per cent accuracy from 25 attempts.
