According to reports from Turkish outlet Sabah, Real Madrid are preparing a bid exceeding €80 million to secure the Nigerian international, whose explosive form has placed him among Europe’s most sought-after forwards.

Barcelona are also monitoring the situation closely. The Catalan club reportedly set aside a €100 million summer budget to sign a marquee striker as they plan for the departure of Robert Lewandowski, whose contract expires at the end of the season.

Galatasaray, aware of the mounting interest, have reportedly placed a firm €130 million valuation on Osimhen.

The price tag could force Barcelona to stretch beyond their planned spending if they intend to outmanoeuvre their historic rivals in the transfer market.

The rising attention around the Victor Osimhen transfer has been driven by the striker’s outstanding performances since moving to Turkey.

The 27-year-old has delivered a powerful campaign, scoring 19 goals in 28 appearances across all competitions.

Osimhen has been particularly influential in European competitions. The Nigerian forward has scored seven goals in nine matches in the UEFA Champions League this season, building on his six goals in seven UEFA Europa League games for Galatasaray last term.

Barcelona view Osimhen as a strong candidate to fill the void that will be left by Lewandowski, who helped the club win two La Liga titles.
