Actress Realomojinad calls on Nollywood stakeholders to support emerging talent, sharing her experience of the challenges of booking established stars for roles

Nigerian actress Jinad Habibat Adunni, known in the entertainment world as Realomojinad, has made a heartfelt appeal to Nollywood stakeholders to give more support to up-and-coming actors and actresses.

In a recent Instagram post, the actress shared her thoughts on the importance of nurturing fresh talent in the film industry.

Realomojinad reflected on her personal experience and the challenges faced by those trying to cast for movie roles. She recounted how a friend, who is a movie producer, struggled to find an actor for a significant role due to the unavailability of established stars.

The actor would be required to play a major role with 30 scenes, but many of the big names were either already booked or outside Nigeria.

“Supporting new talent in the film industry can go a long way. Honestly, getting your favorite actors for a project can be challenging,” Realomojinad shared in her post.

“A friend of mine is producing a movie and has been searching for someone to play a significant role with 30 scenes. However, many actors are either already booked or currently outside Nigeria.”

She emphasized the importance of giving emerging actors a chance to shine, suggesting that doing so could lead to the discovery of the next big Nollywood star.

“Let’s encourage and celebrate new faces in the industry! Who knows, we might just discover the next big star,” she added, using hashtags like #SupportNewTalent and #Nollywood.

Realomojinad concluded her message with a passionate plea, stating: “For the love of God let’s support new talent please.”
